An objective of the Batten Disease Diagnostic and Clinical Research Center is to expand our understanding of Batten disease through clinical research. The clinical research conducted through the center will be integrated with the more basic research of Dr. Pearce and other researchers. In addition to increasing our understanding of Batten disease, we expect to accelerate the development of potential therapies.
